Andro 400 Review: Does It Really Boost Testosterone?

Andro 400 Review: Does It Really Boost Testosterone?

As the male performance supplement market continues to expand, the established names continue to exert their staying power. One company that has been around for close to 20 years and shows no signs of slowing down is Natural Heath Concepts, which markets a range of products under the Andro 400 banner. Included in their range are three versions of a testosterone booster that claim to increase libido up to 90% while boosting energy and melting belly fat. These Andro 400 ‘T’ boosters are priced at the lower end of the market, being $20-30 cheaper than most competitors.

So, does Andro 400 work? In these Andro 400 reviews, we bypass the company hype to bring you unadulterated facts about the Andro 400 range of testosterone boosters.

What is Andro 400?

Andro 400 is a registered trademark of Natural Health Concepts, a US-based health supplement manufacturer that has been in business since 2004. There are five products listed on the official Andro 400 website.

What products does Andro 400 offer?

There are five product categories under the Andro 400 banner:

Love to Sleep: this natural sleep aid combines Vitamin B6, 5-HTP, L-Theanine, L-Tryptophan, Valerian Root, Hops, and Melatonin.

Hairem Botanical Hair Serum: this dietary supplement promises to generate new hair growth, naturally darken grey hair, reduce hair thinning, and block DHT. Key ingredients are amla, bacopa monnieri, fenugreek, and saw palmetto.

Andro 400: Is the flagship testosterone booster Natural Health Concepts produces. Although containing just a single ingredient (300 mg of Eurycoma Longifiolia), it claims to be able to effect a host of beneficial changes, including melting belly fat, boosting sex drive, and surging energy levels.

Andro 400 MAX: This is an advanced version of Ntiral Halth Conceot’s standard ‘T’ booster that adds the amino acids l-arginine and l-citrulline to Eurycoma Longifiolia (the dosage of which is increased to 500 mg).

Ultra Max T: Marketed as their most potent testosterone-boosting product, the Ultra Max T formula includes Eurycoma Longifiolia, D-Aspartic Acid, Garcinia Cambogia Extract, Acetyl-L-Carnitine and Coleus forskohlii extract.

We will focus on the three testosterone-boosting products for the remainder of this Andro 400 review.

Andro 400 Reviews: Pass or Fail?

Overall Score: 5.0

Despite appearing to be a bargain compared to the leading testosterone-boosting brands, the Andro 400 T boosters are overpriced. Take their flagship product as a prime example. Andro 400 is nothing but 300 mg of Eurycoma Longifiolia, otherwise known as Tongkat ali. Yet, you purchase 300 mg of this herbal supplement from your local health store for less than half what you have to pay for Andro 400.

The other products in the range add extra ingredients, but not in dosages that will be effective. For example, Ultra Max T includes D-Aspartic Acid, which is effective at dosages of between 2000-3000 mg. Yet, it’s only dosed here at 400 mg. This, in effect, makes its inclusion a waste of time. The same could be said of other ingredients in this product.

Finally, all the testosterone boosters are missing some key ingredients you’d expect in a quality testosterone booster. These include tribulus terrestris, fenugreek extract, ashwagandha, and DHEA.

The bottom line is that Andro 400 testosterone boosters are overpriced, underdosed, and lacking key ingredients. There are far better options on the market, which are highlighted further on in this Andro400 review.

Overall Verdict: FAIL

Pros

+It may increase energy levels

+May boost libido

Andro400 Testosterone boosters

Having provided a general overview, let’s now check under the hood of each of the Andro400 testosterone boosters so you can see whether it can do what its manufacturer claims it can do.

Andro400

Andro400 is the standard or classic version of Natural Health Concept’s testosterone booster. Here’s a breakdown of what you get and what the company claims it can do for you:

Ingredients

Tongkat ali 100:1 Extract – 300 mg

Eurycoma longifolia, often known as Tongkat ali, is an herbal ingredient frequently included in testosterone-boosting products. It has a long history of traditional use for numerous health advantages, including its potential to support testosterone levels.¹ It is produced from the roots of a Southeast Asian plant.

The ratio at which Tongkat ali extract is commonly standardized, such as 100:1, reveals the concentration of the active ingredients in the extract. Tongkat ali 100:1 extract, on the other hand, denotes the ratio of 100 grams of the raw root to 1 gram of the concentrated extract.

The 100:1 ratio indicates a high concentration of active chemicals in the extract. Various kinds of alkaloids, flavonoids, and other phytochemicals are among these active substances, often referred to as bioactive components, which are thought to contribute to Tongkat ali’s possible testosterone-boosting benefits.

There are various processes by which Tongkat ali extract may function. It may help support testosterone production by encouraging the pituitary gland’s release of luteinizing hormone (LH), instructing the testes to make more testosterone. In addition, Tongkat ali extract may assist in lowering the activity of SHBG, a protein that binds to testosterone and restricts its availability, possibly resulting in increased free testosterone levels.

Although tongkat ali extract has become popular as a testosterone booster, it’s important to remember that there is just a small amount of conflicting scientific data to back it up. While some have revealed possible benefits in raising testosterone levels, sperm quality, and sexual function, other studies have not identified appreciable results.

Claimed benefits

The marketing guys at Natural Health Concepts are not shy about promoting the benefits of their testosterone boosters. For a product that contains just a single ingredient, here’s what they claim Andro400 will do for you:

Reduce Belly Fat
Increase energy and stamina
Increase libido and enhance sexual performance
Increase muscle mass and muscle tone
More strength and endurance
Reduce aches and pains
Improved memory, focus, and mental function
Greater sense of well-being and happiness

Let’s briefly address these claims. According to several animal studies, Tongkat ali may offer anti-obesity properties and reduce body fat buildup. However, more research is required to ascertain its effectiveness in this area because no human studies explicitly focus on its effects on abdominal fat.

Although there is some anecdotal evidence that Tongkat ali may have energizing effects, few scientific research studies focus especially on human energy and endurance. To substantiate these claims, more research is necessary. Its possible impacts on energy and stamina may be connected to its capacity to support testosterone levels.

Tongkat ali has a long history of being used as an aphrodisiac and is frequently used for its ability to boost libido and sexual performance. Several studies have indicated beneficial benefits on certain elements of sexual function, although the results have been mixed. To confirm its efficacy in this area, more research is required.

Tongkat ali is frequently promoted as a natural supplement for gaining muscle mass. Although it might impact testosterone levels, there isn’t much proof that it can boost muscle mass and tone. The key contributors to muscle growth are resistance training and a healthy diet.

Tongkat ali has the potential to support testosterone levels, which may explain its possible impacts on strength and endurance. Although some studies have indicated beneficial impacts on strength and exercise performance, more thorough research is required to make a firm connection.

A small amount of research has looked into how Tongkat ali may help with aches and pains. Although some anecdotal evidence points to potential pain-relieving properties, more scientific research is required to support these claims.

The traditional usage of Tongkat ali as a cognitive enhancer has led to some research suggesting potential cognitive advantages, including improved memory, focus, and mental function. More research is needed to demonstrate its effects on memory, focus, and mental function because there is currently insufficient evidence.

Tongkat ali is frequently linked to an uplifted mood, well-being, and happiness. There aren’t many scientific studies that focus on how it affects mood, though. More research is required to fully understand the mechanisms and validate these claims, but it may have impacts on mood that are related to its capacity to sustain testosterone levels.

Andro400 Max

Andro400 Max adds two extra ingredients to Andro400 while increasing the dosage of Tongkat ali to 500 mg.

Ingredients

Tongkat ali 100:1 extract- 500 mg

Andro400 Max gives you an extra 200 mg of this herb. Even though there is no universally established dosage for testosterone boosting, some studies have used 200 to 400 mg doses. So, 500 mg can be considered an effective dosage.

L-Citrulline – 500 mg

L-Citrulline is an amino acid that acts as a precursor to nitric oxide and a vasodilator to improve blood flow. It may indirectly help support testosterone levels through this mechanism, but the effect will be minor at best.

L-Arginine Ethyl Ester 2HLC – 500 mg

Arginine Ethyl Ester 2HCL results from a chemical modification of the amino acid L-arginine by joining it with an ethyl ester group. This is designed to improve arginine’s bioavailability and absorption in the body. While L-arginine can increase nitric oxide levels for improved blood flow, it has no direct relationship to increased natural testosterone production.

Claimed benefits

Natural health concepts claim that you’ll get all of the benefits of Andro400 with the addition of:

Treat Erectile Dysfunction
Decrease Muscle Soreness
Lower Blood Pressure

Arginine and citrulline may help in these areas due to their ability to promote nitric oxide production. This, in turn, increases blood flow so that more oxygen and nutrients are carried to the muscle cells and waste products from exercise are carried away more efficiently.

Ultra Max T

Ultra Max T adds another four testosterone-boosting ingredients to the original formula in an effort to maximize results. Let’s check them out.

Ingredients

Tongkat ali 200:1 Extract – 400 mg

The dosage of Tongkat ali has been reduced by 100 mg in comparison to Andro400 Max. However, 400mg is still within the range used in most clinical studies.

D-Aspartic Acid – 400 mg

The amino acid D-aspartic acid stimulates the pituitary gland to release luteinizing hormone (LH). This, in turn, signals the testes to produce more testosterone. The effective dose, according to studies, is 2000-3000 mg, so the 400 mg provided here falls woefully short of that.

Garcinia Cambogia – 300 mg

This tropical fruit extract is not recognized as a testosterone booster, though it may be able to assist with weight loss. This is due to its hydroxycitric acid content. The generally accepted effective dose for weight loss results is 500-1500 mg, so again, we see an underdosed ingredient.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine – 150 mg

Acetyl-l-Carnitine is involved in the production of cellular energy. However, there is no connection with increased testosterone production.

ForsLean® Coleus Forskohlii – 200 mg

ForsLean® Coleus Forskohlii is a patented extract from the plant Coleus forskohlii. It contains forskolin, which may affect testosterone levels, according to some research. Although some trials have produced encouraging findings, more investigations are required to completely comprehend its efficacy as a testosterone booster.

Claimed Benefits

Natural Health Concepts claims that the combination of ingredients in Ultra Max T will do the following:

Decrease body fat
Increase lean muscle
Convert fat cells into energy
Improved sexual performance
Less depression and fatigue
More energy
Reduced sugar cravings
Stabilized sugar levels
Reduced joint pains

Andro 400 Side Effects

There have been no reported adverse side effects reported with Andro 400. This is to be expected as its only ingredient is a natural herb that has been used for thousands of years. The addition of the two amino acids in Andro 400 Max does not pose any further risk, especially at the low dosages that are present. Of the ingredients in Ultra Max T, the only potential concern is garcinia cambogia, which may contribute to hepatotoxicity (liver damage).

Real Andro 400 Customer Reviews

Reviews for Andro400 are decidedly mixed, with each of the testosterone boosters averaging around 3.8 stars on Amazon. Here are a couple of typical online reviews from verified customers:

Who should take Andro 400?

Andro400 is designed to be taken by men over the age of 18 who have low testosterone and who want to boost their body’s natural production of the hormone.

When to take Andro 400?

The daily dosage for Andro400 is two capsules taken with water. The label does not stipulate that it has to be taken with water or what time of the day to take it.

3 Alternatives To Andro 400

At this point of the review, it should be pretty clear that there are much better testosterone boosters on the market than those under the Andro400 banner. Here are three of the most popular alternatives that we recommend:

1. Testofuel

The popular testosterone booster TestoFuel claims that it can naturally raise testosterone levels. D-Aspartic Acid, Vitamin D, Oyster Extract, Ginseng, Fenugreek, Magnesium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin K2, Zinc, and Bioperine are among the active ingredients in the Testofuel formula. These ingredients are said to support testosterone production, enhance libido, boost energy levels, and accelerate muscle building. TestoFuel attempts to offer a comprehensive formula to optimize testosterone levels and advance different facets of male health. This is an extremely popular product that has proven itself over many years as a market leader.

Pros

+Research-backed ingredients

+Clinical dosages

+Extremely popular

Cons

Only available from the official website

TestoFuel is considered to be a revolutionary, exhaustively researched muscle building supplement with one very focused aim…to smash down the barriers to growth by opening your testosterone floodgates…

2. TestoPrime

TestoPrime is a 12-ingredient natural testosterone booster produced by established UK health supplement manufacturer Wolfson Brands. It is built around the key ingredient D-aspartic acid, which is dosed at 2000 mg. Other ingredients chosen for their potential to support testosterone production, increase energy, enhance muscle growth, improve mood, and boost overall well-being include Ashwagandha Extract, Fenugreek, Green Tea Extract, Pomegranate Extract, Vitamins D, B5, and B6, Zinc, Garlic Extract, and Black Pepper Extract.

TestoPrime does not have nearly as many online reviews as Testofuel, but those that do appear are universally positive. The daily dosage is four capsules, and the product can only be bought from the official website.

Pros

+12 research-backed ingredients

+Built around D-AA

+B-Vitamins for energy

Cons

Requires taking four capsules per day

TestoPrime is an all-natural testosterone support that can help any man take control of his youthful vitality with a flood of new and natural testosterone…

3. Hunter Test

Hunter Test is a 9-ingredient testosterone booster from well-known supplement producer Roar Ambition. Once again, it is built around the foundation ingredient, D-aspartic acid. In fact, Hunter Test contains 3000 mg of D-AA per serving, which is one of the highest dosages we have ever come across in a testosterone booster. The other ingredients in this product are:

Ashwagandha extract: (300 mg)
Panax Ginseng Root Extract (300 mg)
Indole-3-Carbinol (200 mg)
Magnesium (200 mg)
Zinc (30 mg)
Boron (10 mg)
Vitamin K2 (150 mcg)
Vitamin D3 (125 mcg)

This is a pretty complete formula, being especially strong in adaptogens to help relieve stress and anxiety. This helps control cortisol levels and promote testosterone release. The biggest drawback with Hunter Test is that it requires taking six capsules per day (that’s due to the high dosages), which may be a real struggle for some people.

Pros

+3000 mg of D-AA

+Complete formula profile

+Strong in adaptogens

Cons

Requires taking six capsules daily

Hunter Test leaves nothing to chance. We work with scientists to find nine potent ingredients, all with the power to boost testosterone – and transform your whole life…

Andro 400 FAQs

What is Andro400 Max used for?

Andro400 is used as a natural testosterone booster. As well as being able to naturally boost testosterone levels, Andro400 also claims to be able to boost weight loss, improve sex drive, and enhance overall energy levels.

Is Andro 400 a steroid?

No, Andro400 is not a steroid, nor is it testosterone therapy. It contains completely natural herbal ingredients and amino acids that are designed to support the body’s natural testosterone production rather than adding a synthetic version of testosterone to the body.

Who shouldn’t take Andro 400?

Andro400 should not be taken by young men who are still experiencing puberty. During this time, their natural testosterone levels are still peaking, and do not need any outside help in boosting testosterone.

Summary

The three testosterone boosters under the Andro400 banner – Andro400, Andro400 Max, and Andro400 UltraMax T, do not rank on our list of favorite ‘T’ boosters. All three products are underdosed, lack key ingredients, and make claims that they can’t live up to. Even though they may appear to be a bargain compared to some of the more popular products on the market, the quality simply does not stack up. Our recommendation is to spend a few more dollars on more rounded-out, proven products like Hunter Test, TestoPrime, and Testofuel.

TestoFuel is considered to be a revolutionary, exhaustively researched muscle building supplement with one very focused aim…to smash down the barriers to growth by opening your testosterone floodgates…
